LiveClip

LiveClip roadmap

A public view of directions, priorities, and areas we are treating carefully.

This page is a future planning note
What LiveClip solves, its current value, and the policy of not uploading the video file are separated into the About page.

This page organizes features under consideration, how we think about priority, and what may not be built. It does not promise delivery timing or pricing.

About this app
Directions to consider / areas to handle carefully
To protect the product focus, we consider additions with a bias toward not overbuilding.

Directions to consider

  • Improve highlight candidate accuracy and explainability
  • Make context review around candidates faster
  • Add more signals for whether a clip works as a short
  • Make handoff to existing editing software lighter
  • Validate learning from accept/reject behavior in small steps

Not doing / handle carefully

  • Recreating a full editing timeline
  • Advanced caption styling and text effects
  • Zoom, BGM, or sound-effect editing
  • Operations outsourcing including scheduled social posting
  • Publishing flows that remove creator review

Features under consideration

Not everything listed here will be built. We will validate small pieces whose intent is clear and whose risks are acceptable.

Stronger highlight detection

Intent

Combine volume, speech density, and context to miss fewer candidate moments.

Concern / risk if overdone

Too many signals can make it unclear why a moment was selected.

Short-form suitability score

Intent

Make it easier to judge opening strength, payoff, and how well reactions come across.

Concern / risk if overdone

If the score becomes the goal, creators may prioritize numbers over their own tone.

Suggested trim ranges and adjustment

Intent

Reduce uncertainty about where to start and end around a candidate.

Concern / risk if overdone

Treating suggested ranges as final may cut away context or afterglow.

Learn from accept/reject

Intent

Learn what each creator tends to keep and improve candidate quality.

Concern / risk if overdone

Overfitting to short-term preference can make it harder to discover new strengths.

Title and opening hook ideas

Intent

Help think about how to present a candidate on social platforms.

Concern / risk if overdone

Overly provocative copy can hurt creator trust and tone.

Timestamp / CSV / SRT exports

Intent

Make handoff to Premiere, DaVinci, Vrew, and similar tools easier.

Concern / risk if overdone

Supporting too many formats can dilute investment in discovery quality.

Chat spike integration

Intent

Use viewer reactions as an auxiliary signal.

Concern / risk if overdone

It is weak for streams with little chat and can become noise.

How we prioritize
We value making the right moments easier to find more than simply making editing faster.
  • Does it directly address not knowing where the good moment is?
  • Does it speed up creator or clip-editor judgment?
  • Does it hand off well to the current editing environment?
  • Does it accumulate livestream-specific learning?
Tell us what you think of this direction
Direct input, including “I want this,” “I do not need this,” or “this direction feels off,” is the most valuable signal. The roadmap is not fixed; it is something we revise around real user problems.
